Periodical Publications:

CUUPS has published a variety of newsletters, magazines and online media over the years. Here's a summary of them and links to what we presently have available.

 

Pagan NUUS: was published 3-4 times a year from 1987 to 1996. It was edited by CUUPS founding co-coordinators, Linda Pinti and Rev. Lesley Phillips. While some of the material is dated, many of the articles are timeless. Articles are placed on the web for historical purposes, if you would like to republish them, please contact the original authors.

 

CUUPS Newsletter: was published from 1996 to 1999. It was edited by Jerrie Hildebrand. This was a quarterly printed newsletter that ranged from 12-30 pages an issue. It was printed by Arena Press (the publishers of Sagewoman & PanGaia) and featured a good deal of artwork from Lauren Foster MacLeod.

 

Connections Magazine: Robin and Summer Woodsong started as a local Denver area magazine for the Earth-centered community in the early 1990's and developed into a magazine with a national distribution thru major bookstores. In the fall of 1999 the Woodsong's donated this magazine to CUUPS and stayed on to edit it. Connections during 1999 thru 2001 was the only UU oriented magazine that was nationally distributed for public sale, as even the UU World does little in the way of newstand distribution. Unfortunately, the economy changed in 2001 so that we could no longer publish the magazine (as well as our primary distributor folded.)

 

CUUPS Newslettter: was again published, though at irregular interval between 2002 and 2005. This iteration was edited by Judy Craft.

 

CUUPS Bulletin: The CUUPS Bulletin is our current periodical publication, it started in 2007 on a trial basis. It is an online publication edited by David Pollard and come out 8-12 times a year.

 

Audio Publications:

 

CUUPS Produced a wide variety of recorded lectures and presentations from it's programs at General Assembly and it's Convocation starting in 1988 and continuing until around 2000. These were available on cassette tape only. Unfortunately, we do not presently have access to most of these recordings and as cassettes don't age well - they are difficult to find in working order. If *you* have some of these recordings in working order please contact bulletin@cuups.org, as we'd like to transfer these into mp3 format so that they can be made available thru this website.

 

CUUPS produced a chant cassette in 1991 at a Convocation workshop led by Margot Adler. While the song quality is not great, it is enough to give you an idea of what the tune and words are. We hope to have some of the chants online soon as mp3s.

 

CUUPS produced a music CD in 1998 called Singing the Promise which was a recorded concert from the General Assembly in Rochester NY. Unfortunately, it is currently out of print. a few songs from it have been used in the new CUUPS Podcast (see below.)

 

Starting in January 2010 CUUPS began producing monthly Podcasts. These are approxminately 45 minute long audio programs which bring together recorded material from a variety of sources.  (Note: the Podcast link takes you offsite to where they are hosted.)

 

Journals

 

CUUPS has produced two issues of a semi-academic Earth-Centered Religious Journal called Sacred Cosmos. The first one was printed in 2000, and distributed to all UU ministers thru a grant from the UU Funding Program. It is currently out of print. The second one was produced in 2002-3 and is available as a pdf file.
