2010 / 2011 Sermon Contest

Calling UUA Ministers and all other speakers

Give a Sermon in any UUA Church
(can be from any sermon given between
November 1st, 2009 and October 31st, 2010)

Look for details about next years contest in the spring 2011

Hear the finalises during the January 2011 CUUPS podcasts.

1st prize will be $500 and announced at the 2011 GA in Charlotte, NC.

Provide the Judges a text copy and an audio copy

Deadline: October 31, 2010.

Panel will pick four finalists by Dec. 31, 2010
Each of the finalists sermons will be played during the CUUPS Podcast in the order of the speakers last name. The first sermon will be aired in January 2011, the second in February, etc. After the last sermon has be release (around April 20, 2011) Listeners will be invited to vote online, based on the criteria listed below:

1. Originality - Is this a book report or something no one else has
   said/thought before?
2. Delivery - Is it easily understandable?
3. Accessibility - does it speak ONLY to Pagans or ONLY to
   non-EarthCentered UUs or both?
4. Does it refl ect UU values as well as Earth-centered spirituality?
